![]() Lexar professional CF 1000x versus XQD 1100x Short version: XQD 1100x wins hands down. Long version: When I have been using both highend fast memory cards for a while now, I do notice a large difference between these two cards. Especially when ... well on every counts the CF is noticeably slower than the XQD, and no - this is no lab test but real life shooting i.e. accessing, buffering, transfering via usb, lan, and Wifi (WT-5). For example - when I'm using the WT-5 transferring stills RAW 12bit compressed (14MB files) during a shoot the average transfer rate when I'm using the XQD cards is about 3 - 4 sec. and with the CF is around 8 - 11 sec. Ok, not convinced? How about transfer rate to a PC with a high speed card readers on USB3.0 CF = 145 MB/s sustained versus XQD = 175 MB/s sustained. It does not seems much but in the end it does add up to your workflow. Thus, for me, XQD all the way man! The naysayers, 98% of them have not used the XQD cards, so ... based on air ... hehe you get my drift and the 2%? are oddballs, outliers, freaks of society, the 98% confidence interval theorem.
